The Moorland Waldorf School, is a new project that has been established by the Eskdale Community Trust for Education (ECTE), which previously ran Botton Village Steiner School. The new initiative includes a Kindergarten (ages 2-6), and currently Classes 1 - 4/5 (ages 6-11). We also offer ‘flexi-learning’, designed to both provide Waldorf Education and to support Waldorf home educators in the area. It is based in Botton Village in the beautiful North York Moors national park.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

We are delighted to say that Moorland Waldorf re-opened on 3 September 2020 after five and a half months.  Staff and pupils are pleased to be back! Both the kindergarten and the main school are open as usual and we are offering afternoon care to families whose children attend our kindergarten.

Our focus at the start of this year will be on education outdoors, taking advantage of our glorious surroundings and blending our normal curriculum with complementary outdoor activities.  We see this as an exciting and positive response to keeping our children as safe as possible during these worrying times.
